Fires in Minnesota Have Burned Tens of Thousands of Acres

In Minnesota, fires have burned about 68,000 acres in Superior National Forest and nearby areas. The Washington Post reports the Biden administration had approved $10 million to thin out Superior National Forest to help prevent fires, but last year the Trump administration’s DOGE program paused or canceled nearly all of the Forest Service’s grant projects and funds.
