Senate Democrats Block $1.15 Trillion Pentagon Budget Bill over Iran War

On Capitol Hill, Senate Democrats blocked debate on Republicans’ $1.15 trillion annual National Defense Authorization Act Tuesday. Democratic Senator Tammy Duckworth of Illinois, a member of the Armed Services Committee, said she opposed advancing the measure unless Congress agreed to her amendment prohibiting funding for the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran.
